The Power Intake is the premier air filter designed to create pure horsepower. The intake funnels used in racing machines take advantage of a characteristic where air travels along the side of the side of surfaces. However, the center portion of the funnel is virtually unused. It is this concept that gave birth to the Dual Funnel design. A primary funnel on the top portion of the air cleaner was inserted to channel the air flow directly into the lower funnels at the base of the cleaner. This design was a huge success on the former Super Intake model. The Power Intake took this design and improved the flow characteristics. New funnel design, element material and air flow channeling characteristics make the Power Intake one of the most efficient air cleaners on the market today. By constructing the upper and lower funnel from a highly durable injected resin, engineers were able to construct the ideal shaped funnel previously not possible with the stainless steel material. Funnel shapes focused on increasing air speed without changing the flow direction of the intake air. The result is a high speed and smooth flow of air into the intake. The lower funnel has been engineered at a 14 degree curve for maximum efficiency. Also, the lower funnel position has been made even closer to the base of the cleaner to reduce drag and eliminate any “dead spots” within the cleaner.

The dry 3-layer type is standard in SMF Reloaded Intake kits, and is designed for superior filtration while still providing excellent airflow. The wet 2-layer type is included in Racing Suction kits and is focused on maximizing airflow for performance, yet still keeping harmful particles from the engine. If your vehicle is in a high dust area, HKS recommends using dry 3-layer elements.

GReddy Air-i NX II Air Filter

The AY-SB and AY-MB Airinx air filters are made with a special dry element and then placed between our new dual chrome ABS spiral cages. Our special double-ply element uses 2 layers of 3 dimensional urethane foam (with different textures) to increase filtration and maximize intake airflow. The outer ply has a large opening while the inner rough layer is made up of a fine foam. The outer cage is a spiraled straight-fin design which helps promote air intake. The chrome finish can dress up any high performance engine compartment and is available in two compact sizes.

Plazmaman Intake Plenum – Nissan RB

- You are viewing the Plazmaman RB20/25 Inlet Manifold Plenum. This Plenum was developed to suit all street and big horsepower applications. RB20/25 is one of the most under estimated engines of recent time. They come with a 2.0 or 2.5 litre, mechanically strong high revving package that is just waiting to be woken up. These engines require shorter piping and efficient charge air cooling to take full advantage of their potential. The team at Plazmaman have developed a compact, visually attractive easy bolt on inlet plenum, to optimize the RB20/25’s potential. Dyno tested to gain approx 19 HP @ wheels with standard boost just by bolting it on. These manifolds are individually hand crafted by Plazmaman.
- Uses factory cable, idle motor and throttle body. Utilises machined internal ram tubes and has a capacity of 5 litres. It removes that ugly plumbing that goes around the engine bay and also points the throttle body toward the head light.
